POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Manager Accelerated Program (OMAP) is a full time 18-month development program that provides on-the-job training and formal learning through a structured sequence of tasks designed to expose you to operations within the Company. While working through the three units of the program, you (the Operations Manager Accelerated Trainee) will learn the fundamentals of the business; develop your leadership skills in a fast-paced position; and establish close working relationships with executives, managers, employees and customers. The strong operational, networking and leadership skills developed will enable you to grow your career and is designed to prepare you for a position as an Operations Manager all while helping build a more sustainable world. THE TRAINING EXPERIENCE:

  1. Rotations in sales, finance, post collection, maintenance and operations.
  2. Learn and practice how to develop and lead a large team.
  3. Learn and practice how to manage a growing infrastructure.
  4. Gain high visibility to senior leadership.
  5. Receive continuous mentorship and support.
  6. Transfer or gain experience in various locations throughout the U.S.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Receives instruction in subjects related to the rotational experience.
  2. Attends trainings, watches guest speakers, and creates projects and/or oral presentations.
  3. Work in different functions to learn the business, including operations, finance, sales, maintenance, and post collections.
  4. Adheres to guidelines of the formal training program.
  5. Participates in periodic evaluations.
  6. Works with other managers to plan and direct the work of the organization.
  7. Demonstrates a commitment to safety and compliance. Lead operations to ensure compliance with all standards including environmental, operating, regulatory, safety, accounting and ethics.
  8. Participates in managing a large staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, performance management; develop supervisory goals and objectives; and effective resolution of safety issues and claims.
  9. Uses Company systems to analyze sales, gross profit and inventory activity.
  10. Implements and executes plans to complement the business unit’s strategic and operating plan; champion the execution of tactical initiatives within the business unit to maximize the customer experience, growth and durability, while optimizing profitability.
  11. Works with management to develop and implement actions that protect Company assets and profitability.
  12. Builds and maintains strong and effective relationships with relevant government, community and environmental groups.
  13. Learns and demonstrates the leadership characteristics that support the Republic Way.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Minimum of two years supervisory or management experience.
  2. Willing to relocate.
