Job summary

Openwork, on behalf of a leading industrial distribution firm, seeks an Operations Manager to lead daily fulfillment center and yard operations in the Greater Beaumont / Winnie Area, TX. You will supervise warehouse teams, optimize space and equipment, ensure safety, accuracy, and on-time material handling, and drive continuous improvement to support quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an operations management role overseeing supervisors and industrial warehouse teams.
• 3+ years in Industrial Distribution (PVF or heavy industrial experience preferred).
• 3 to 5 years of focused inventory control experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of ERP inventory management systems and MS Office.
• Proven capability in continuous process improvement with rigorous standards.
• Strong leadership to partner with senior executives while acting independently.
• Excellent verbal/written communication, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse and yard activities including inventory control, shipping/receiving, QA, logistics, and space management.
• Schedule, mentor warehouse supervisors and personnel to meet fulfillment demands and minimize overtime.
• Review metrics with team leads, develop productivity plans and enforce loss-prevention strategies.
• Standardize workflows for product handling, storage, equipment use and order fulfillment.
• Maintain a safe workplace by enforcing safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee inspections and maintenance for facility equipment and heavy machinery.
