Job summary

The Bridger Group is partnering with a leading manufacturer in the commercial building products space to recruit an Operations Manager for its Wake Forest manufacturing facility. The role leads plant operations, drives safety, quality, production, and profitability, and develops the leadership team to hit the facility’s goals.

You will own the plant P&L, spearhead continuous improvement, manage capital and operating expenditures, and motivate a diverse workforce while fostering a strong safety

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience implementing lean tools and driving on-time delivery (OTD).
• Experience managing a plant or business unit with P&L responsibility.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, financial performance, and Lean manufacturing.
• Ability to lead, develop, and motivate a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving.
• Own the facility P&L and ensure financial and operational goals are achieved.
• Drive improvements in plant performance, productivity, quality, labor utilization, and operating costs.
• Lead, develop, and provide direction to plant leadership and other key members of the management team.
• Oversee capital and operating expenditures while controlling overtime, freight, repair, and other operating expenses.
• Ensure a strong safety culture and compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and overall plant performance.
