Directs and coordinates activities of operational production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in an industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Design, coordinate, and direct activities of the plant towards exceeding established goals through the following:
Establish and enforce all safety measures and assure that all are followed through the following:
Ensure all production goals are met through the following:
Coordinate production, distribution, and warehousing in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the Regional Operations Manager through the following:
Confer with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area through the following:
Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees through the following:
Reviews production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division through the following:
Manages multiple subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 250-300 employees. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of site operational units. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of contact management systems, database software, design software, development software, internet software, inventory software, manufacturing software, order processing systems, project management software, spreadsheet software and word processing software.
