Job summary

All Points Broadband is seeking an experienced Manager, Operations to lead the FTTH field operations, including managing a team of Fiber Installers, Surveyors, and Team Leads. You will provide technical guidance, develop the team, plan fiber deployment, and align goals with leadership to meet deadlines.

Key responsibilities include leading the field team, conducting safety checks, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring training and certifications are current.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Operations Management, handling large OSP/FTTH projects (aerial/underground/splicing).
• Experience in OSP FTTH network planning, rollout, build and field operations.
• Knowledge of GIS software.
• Familiarity with OSHA and safety practices.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Manager, Operations to lead the FTTH field operations including managing a team of Fiber Installers, Surveyors and Team Leads. They will be responsible for providing technical guidance, team development, strategic planning for fiber deployment, and goal alignment. They will work closely with leadership to ensure projects and deadlines are met and work to remove any obstacles for the team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, development and technical guidance to FTTH field operations team.
• Perform regular QC and safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Manage and update project documentation and communicate with leadership on project progress, roadblocks and projected timelines.
• Responsible for team training, recertifications, and overall professional development.
• Conduct daily meetings to review safety compliance, scheduled work assignments and algin team goals.
• Track and manage new and existing employee training and certification requirements to ensure assigned courses are completed on time.
• Forecast and track budget and performance targets for installation and repair metrics.
• Lead day-to-day operations in the field and align tasks with overall objectives and timelines.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 7+ years of experience with Operations Management with a focus on managing large, complex OSP/FTTH Projects (aerial, underground, buried, splicing and installation).
• Experience managing OSP FTTH Network Planning, rollout, build, construction and overall field operations.
• Knowledge of GIS software preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA and other safety-related practices.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner.
• Possess the ability to read prints and interpret utility maps.
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a changing environment.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, and communication skills necessary for maintaining productive and professional relationships with employees and customer
• Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.), Google applications, and/or other construction related software applications.
• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work as needed (over-time, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies or on-call)
• Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
