Role Summary:

At Midwest Juicery, we owe our success to the efficiency of organizational processes to drive down the cost of goods sold, balancing cash flow, and maintaining quality standards. As our business has grown, we’re seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily activities to manage the entire operations and communication for Midwest Juicery and all Private Label sales. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind, respectful and clear communication to all internal and external parties, and proven success in managing multiple processes. This person will be highly skilled in people management, negotiation, finance, and problem-solving skills.

Objectives of this role:

1. Maintain constant communication with customers, team members, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the company.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols.
3. Increase the efficiency of existing processes to enhance the company’s internal capacity.
4. Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget.
5. Manage and deliver on KPIs: COGS, On Time Delivery, Quality, etc.

Responsibilities:

1. Order Management: Process customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
2. Customer Communication: Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
3. Coordination and Logistics: Oversee the delivery of packaging materials and ingredients, coordinating freight to the manufacturer of raw materials and finished goods to customers.
4. Forecast Management: Work with the internal team to maintain a monthly forecast based on the current customer base, projected customer growth, and seasonal/promotional changes that impact the monthly forecast.
5. Production Oversight: Resolve real-time production issues, confirm receipt of materials at manufacturing sites.
6. Quality Control: Conduct quality tests on juice samples to ensure product standards are met.
7. Supplier Management: Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing for ingredients and packaging while maintaining quality standards.
8. Cost Management: Monitor and manage the cost of goods sold (COGS) to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
9. Problem Solving: Address and resolve daily operational challenges, including insufficient material deliveries, late deliveries, and raw material quality issues.
10. Process Improvement: Ensure adherence to processes, continuously update and improve them as needed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Two or more years of proven success in an operations management role.
2. Strong skills in budget development and oversight.
3. Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
4. Working knowledge of management software programs, including Office, QuickBooks, and Google Drive.
5. Strong relationship management.
6. Multiple years of financial and account reporting experience.

Position & Schedule:

1. Full Time: Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm, occasional weekend support.
2. Remote with preference for South Florida applicants.
3. Flexible Work Schedule.
