Pilgrims’ Friend Society is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of care homes, providing leadership to care & business managers and ensuring high-quality, Christian-ethos care across England and Scotland.

You will work with the Director of Operations and Senior Leadership to deliver strategic goals, manage budgets, and promote occupancy and communications for the Homes. A national travel commitment is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-site operational leadership position.
• Experience in coaching and developing managers.
• Strong understanding of care quality, compliance and leadership in health/social care environments.
• Willingness to travel nationwide (minimum weekly).

Responsabilités

• Support the Society’s vision for care across residential homes.
• Line manage Registered and Business Managers; provide supervision and leadership development.
• Quality assure schemes and support managers to ensure compliance and high-quality services.
• Support budgeting and financial monitoring for schemes.
• Embed our care strategy across homes and work with leadership to implement goals.
• Represent Head Office on focus groups and other groups as required.
• Provide on-call leadership cover as part of the team.

Pilgrims’ Friend Society is seeking an Operations Manager to join our dedicated team, overseeing a portfolio of care homes across the country.

You’ll play a vital part in providing essential support and leadership to our care & business managers and delivering high-quality care services rooted in our Christian ethos.

We are a Christian charity with a 200-year legacy of caring for older people and equipping churches for ministry in later life. With 14 care homes and 9 housing schemes across England and Scotland, we are passionate about helping older people live fulfilled, dignified lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Society’s vision for care in all residential homes;
• Line manage and develop Registered and Business Managers, providing regular supervision, appraisals, coaching and leadership development.
• To quality assure and review the performance of our schemes, supporting the managers in making the changes necessary to ensure compliance and delivery of high quality services in line with our policies and plans
• Support the Senior Leadership team and managers in developing and monitoring budgets.
• Support managers to embed our care strategy and the Way We Care across our homes
• Work alongside the Director and Assistant Director of Operations to implement strategic goals;
• Support managers in marketing, occupancy, and communications strategies for the homes;
• Serve as Head Office representative on related focus groups and on other groups as required by the Director of Operations.
• Participate in on-call support as part of the leadership team.

About You

• Experience in a multi-site operational leadership position.
• Experience of leading, coaching and developing managers.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a residential care setting;
• Strong understanding of care quality, compliance, and CQC standards;
• Experience of working with and supporting managers in budgets and monitoring operational performance
• Excellent communicator with strong organisational and interpersonal skills;
• Willing to travel nationwide as required (minimum once a week);
• Personally aligned with the Christian faith and supportive of our mission and values.

This role has an Occupational Requirement to be filled by a Christian under the provisions of the Equality Act (2010).

40 hours per week, usually worked over 5 days
