Job summary

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions US Inc in Tukwila, WA seeks an experienced Operations Leader to oversee day-to-day production, lead the operations team, and collaborate with the General Manager on strategic plans.

The role focuses on lean manufacturing, budget control, KPI tracking, supplier relations, and driving continuous improvement to deliver quality on time while managing costs.

Qualifications

  • 4 year degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related field
  • 7+ years Operations experience
  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in Lean Sigma methodologies
  • MBA or master's degree in related field
  • 10+ years of Operations Management experience
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Ability to communicate clearly by conveying and receiving ideas, information and direction effectively
  • Ability to demonstrate adequate job knowledge to deliver world class performance
  • Ability to challenge oneself to consistently meet all goals and deadlines
  • Willingness to strive for excellence by producing work that is free of errors and mistakes

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing day to day operations to ensure production and processes run efficiently
  • Managing and leading the operations team to ensure they are motivated, productive and aligned with company goals
  • Collaborating with the General Manager and other senior leaders to develop and implement operational strategies
  • Efficiently allocating resources to maximize productivity while controlling costs
  • Implementing and monitoring quality control processes to meet established quality standards
  • Identifying areas for process optimization, cost reduction and efficiency improvement and then leading initiatives to achieve these objectives
  • Developing and managing budgets for operations ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled
  • Identifying and mitigating operational risks, whether related to safety, compliance, or other factors that could affect business continuity
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success and efficiency of operations and to identify improvements
  • Focusing on exceeding customer expectations by delivering products or services on time at the expected quality within budget
  • Providing regular updates to the General Manager on the status of operations and challenges
  • Emergency Response: Developing and implementing emergency response plans to minimize disruptions

Education and Experience:
