Job summary

Movement Search & Delivery is seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to drive operational plans, production scheduling, and continuous improvement on the shop floor. You will coordinate with engineering, program management, and procurement to ensure on-time delivery and efficient use of resources.

The role requires a strong background in CNC machining and assembly processes in aerospace, plus ten-plus years in a managerial capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Develops andmaintains operations business plans including program requirements, labor, cycle times, costs, and infrastructure.
  • Forecasts monthly production sales with risks and opportunities to meet the Annual Plan.
  • Ensures OEM production deliveries via ERP schedule alignment for manufactured jobs.
  • Drives continuous improvement/lean mindset across production, leading Kaizens and lean events.
  • Collaborates with engineering, PM, and operations to transition products to full-rate production and ensure design for manufacturing input.

Job description

  • Develops and maintains operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor requirements, cycle times & production costs, and infrastructure.
  • Develops monthly production sales forecast, identifying all risks and opportunities, to achieve meeting the Annual Plan.
  • Ensures all OEM production deliveries are met through the on-time execution of the ERP schedule for manufactured jobs.
  • Drives a continuous improvement/lean mindset throughout the production floor, participating in lean events, Kaizens, etc.
  • Ability to assimilate ERP data, develop predictive trends, and provide guidance to internal/external customers as to "as demonstrated" production, future rate loads, and capacity planning.
  • Major data contributor to the monthly Sales, Inventory, & Operational Planning (SIOP) process.
  • Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Actively work with the machine shop, maintenance, manufacturing engineering/CNC programming team, and assembly & test to drive effective problem-solving and conflict resolutions to minimize costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Works with the Engineering team to transition development products into full-rate production through the "Operations Launch" process and ensures "design for manufacturing" input is an integral part of new product development.
  • Works with Program Management teams/Product Managers/Directors to help manage customer demands in all regards, from normal "on-purchase order" programs to ensuring production's participation in recovery of "Red to Green" programs.
  • Determines responsibilities of assigned organizational and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
  • Achieve and maintain a thorough understanding of site product lines and all the constituent processes required to manufacture them.
  • Written process owner for operational process documents utilized in the AS9100 system
  • Provide reports as necessary to the Site Leader.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or other related field
  • Six Sigma or successful Lean experience
  • 10+ Years working in a management position with a strong, demonstrated background in shop floor operations, product flow, & data analytics
  • Thorough knowledge of CNC Machining and Assembly processes in an aerospace environment.
  • Previous managerial supervisory experience.
