Job summary

Barnhart-Crane- is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily field operations, optimize labor and equipment use, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. This role reports to the Branch Manager and focuses on developing field personnel, supporting sales initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in efficiency and profitability.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience training or mentoring others, both formally and on the job.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, fit-for-duty exam, and background check.
• College degree preferred.

Position Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field operations of the branch, ensuring efficient execution of jobs, optimal use of labor and equipment, and adherence to all safety and regulatory standards. Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, this role leads and develops field personnel, supports sales initiatives, and drives continuous improvement in operational efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the Branch Manager to oversee daily operations
• Lead, coach, and develop field personnel to build a strong, engaged team
• Coordinate job schedules, equipment, and field resources to ensure smooth execution
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and profitability

• DOT requirements
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Qualification tracking (Qual Cards)
• Safety initiatives and audits

• Oversee training plans and ensure team members have the tools and knowledge to succeed
• Work with the operations team to meet or exceed branch performance goals and monthly metrics
