Responsibilities

• Cross-Docking operations to expedite the transfer of freight while maximizing efficiency.
• Quality Control inspections of incoming and outgoing freight with daily scanning and OS&D reporting for multiple customers.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Job description

Relay Express, a leading logistics company, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Manager to captain our daily execution of Next Day deliveries. As our Operations Manager you will be an integral part of our warehouse operations, responsible for a wide range of tasks to ensure the smooth flow of goods and materials through our facility. This position requires a high level of efficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This position is responsible to manage and verify the outbound freight for on time delivery and proper loading. This person will have multiple direct reports to facilitate loading and unloading trucks at our 10-door facility.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Docking: Perform cross-docking operations to expedite the transfer of general freight between incoming and outgoing trucks while maximizing efficiency for our customers ensuring the integrity of the freight.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing freight to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality standards. Complete daily scanning and OSD reports for multiple customers
• Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the warehouse operation and collaborate with team members and management to implement solutions.
• Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment at all times.

Requirements

Benefits and Compensation

• Monday-Friday on site 6:00-15:00
• Salary $55,000-$65,000 Plus commission after 60-days
