Job summary

Samaritan's Purse in Venezuela is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee HR, IT, logistics, procurement, warehousing, fleet, asset management and base operations. You will ensure cohesive workflows, compliant resource distribution, and inventory controls while supporting field sites and country leadership.

The role requires a advanced degree with at least three years in project management or logistics, Spanish proficiency, and regional knowledge; travel and humanitarian experience preferred;

Qualifications

• Spanish proficiency (reading and writing) required.
• Advanced degree and at least three years of related experience.
• Regional field experience preferred.
• Biblical studies credits strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HR, IT, logistics, procurement, warehousing, fleet, assets and base operations.
• Lead procurement processes, national and international, per donor standards.
• Direct logistics operations and inventory systems for compliant resource distribution.
• Serve as operational liaison between field sites, Country Office and SLT.
• Promote staff development and regional collaboration; other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Operations Manager to join our team in Venezuela. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the role of Operations Manager,you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
• Oversee key operational functions, including HR, IT, logistics, procurement, warehousing, fleet management, asset management, and base operations, ensuring cohesive and efficient workflows, compliant resource distribution, and accountable inventory systems.
• Lead procurement processes, managing both national and international procurement to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant resource supply aligned with donor and organizational standards.
• Direct logistics operations, including fleet management, travel coordination, asset management, warehousing, and inventory systems, ensuring efficient, accountable, and compliant resource distribution.
• Serve as the primary operational liaison, facilitating communication between field sites, the Country Office, and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in order to maintain alignment on priorities and policy compliance.
• Promote staff development through capacity-building initiatives and foster regional collaboration to encourage knowledge-sharing and operational excellence.
• Other duties as assigned.

What are the qualifications?

Serve with Excellence

• Spanish proficiency (reading and writing) required.
• Advanced degree from a college or university; and a minimum of three (3) years' related experience in project management, business administration, public administration, logistics, supply chain management, communications or related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Field experience and knowledge of the Region are preferred.
• Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.
