We are seeking a Deputy Emergency Response Manager, to join our International Projects team in South Sudan. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Deputy Emergency Response Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
Steward the resources God has entrusted to us. Manage and administer project budgets in strict adherence to Samaritan's Purse financial guidelines, ensuring every dollar furthers the mission and is accounted for with integrity.
Build and launch lifesaving operations. Design and implement new emergency-response projects and logistics processes, creating systems that move communities from IDP aid to sustainable, locally-led relief.
Lead the vision for district-wide relief. Partner with your supervisor to set clear strategy and direction for Emergency Relief programming, serving as the official Samaritan's Purse representative to partners, authorities, and other stakeholders.
Protect lives through disciplined security and distribution. Coordinate and enforce robust security protocols for aid distribution, keeping beneficiary lists current and ensuring all activities follow the approved work plan and proposal.
Document impact and walk alongside those we serve. Submit concise monthly and quarterly reports covering activity summaries, outcomes, stories, and finances, while spending at least 25 % of your time directly caring for and safeguarding children, youth, and adults at risk

Serve with Excellence
As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university and at least two (2) years' related experience and/or training in disaster contexts and cross-cultural management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to keep communication lines open with all parties in the program and coordinate scheduling changes
Ability to understand complex security situations and advise program design accordingly.
Ability to coordinate activities with other agencies, building and maintaining positive working relationships.
12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
