Job summary

Alluvionic is seeking a highly capable Operations Manager to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division. This on-site, leadership role coordinates daily operations and aligns personnel with program priorities to help the organization meet its goals efficiently. The successful candidate must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance.

Location is Port Hueneme, CA, on-site. Salary range is $149,752 - $176,068 per year.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate branch, department, or program operations to support goals.
• Review, develop, and implement policies and procedures that improve performance.
• Prepare and analyze reports, records, directives, schedules, and other planning documents.
• Coordinate with managers to plan operational activities and gather information.
• Direct staff and communicate policies and objectives to ensure alignment.
• Organize personnel and resources for efficient service delivery.
• Resolve operational issues and set schedules to meet deadlines.
• Support staff training and ensure compliance with policies.
• Coordinate cross-department activities to improve efficiency and resource use.
• Monitor operating costs and assist in budget preparation.

The successful candidate will bring sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to guide teams, resolve operational challenges, and promote consistent execution across a complex Navy support environment.

Location: Port Hueneme, CA (On-site)

Salary Range: $149,752 - $176,068 yearly

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate branch, department, or program operations in support of organizational goals
• Review, develop, and implement policies, procedures, and practices that improve operational performance
• Analyze and prepare reports, records, directives, schedules, and other planning documents
• Coordinate with managers and supervisors to gather information and plan operational activities
• Assign and delegate work, provide directions to staff, and communicate organizational policies and objectives
• Organize personnel and resources to support efficient delivery of services
• Resolve operational issues and establish schedules and deadlines to ensure timely completion of work
• Support staff training and promote compliance with organizational policies and procedures
• Coordinate activities across departments to improve efficiency and resource use
• Monitor and analyze operating costs and support department budget preparation

Required Qualifications

• Master's level degree
• 10 years of professional experience in operations management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting organizations within the NAVSEA Warfare Centers enterprise
• Familiarity with NSWC Port Hueneme Division missions, processes, and stakeholder environments
• Background in managing multidisciplinary teams supporting Department of Defense programs
• Knowledge of federal contracting rules and Navy financial management policies and procedures
• Proficiency with Navy ERP processes and project-related tools
