A leading global food & beverage manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations at a high-volume production facility. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, employee engagement, and continuous improvement while ensuring the site meets operational and financial objectives. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on manufacturing leader with a strong background in food, beverage, consumer products, ingredients, or other process manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day manufacturing and production support operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Foster a culture centered on safety, food safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Develop and coach manufacturing teams while building a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Partner with Quality to maintain and improve quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
- Manage operational budgets, resource allocation, and manufacturing performance metrics.
- Oversee plant assets, infrastructure, maintenance, and equipment reliability to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, food safety, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred.
- 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience within a food, beverage, ingredients, consumer packaged goods, or similar manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience leading large production and operations teams.
- Strong background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence programs.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated success implementing systems, processes, and operational disciplines that improve plant performance.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and change management skills.
- Experience with SAP, ERP systems, scheduling tools, CMMS, MES, or similar manufacturing technologies preferred.
