Position Summary
We are seeking a candidate who has strong communication and time management skills with a high attention to detail, can effectively problem solve in a high pace work environment, and has ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. STEM background and classroom management experience preferred. Must be able to pass a background check and have authorization to work in the United States.
Core Responsibilities
Event Coordinating
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop and manage project schedules and logistics.
- Oversee and ensure the proper setup, execution, and teardown of each project or event often outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind.
- Proactively address and resolve issues involving staff, equipment, vendors, or participants to minimize disruptions.
- Train and mentor staff on equipment use, procedures, and best practices as needed.
- Act as the primary point of contact for staff regarding scheduling, roles, expectations, and operational questions.
- Maintain clear documentation of project logistics, checklists, and operational procedures.
- Ensure all operations comply with safety standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
- Lead stations, groups, and classes as needed.
- Track key operational metrics and provide regular reports to the Director of Operations.
Event Loading/Unloading
- Comfortable driving up to 20 foot U-Haul and Sprinter Vans.
- Efficient in picking up and returning Uhaul or Engage Van to proper location.
- Loading/Unloading Engage Van/Uhaul with proper equipment, materials, and tools.
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds.
- Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Check in / Check out Engage equipment efficiently and with integrity.
Position Requirements
- Bachelors Degree preferably in STEM Field.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to successfully pass a background check.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout events for extended periods of time.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as required by program and event schedules.
- Must demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with participants, families, volunteers, and community partners.
- Experience working with children ages 8–13 in educational, recreational, sports, camp, or youth development settings.
- Experience facilitating hands-on activities, camps, clinics, or group programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification upon hire).
