Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring an operations manager for our new inpatient extended care rehab facility in Norfolk, VA. You will oversee maintenance, staff, and external contractors to ensure safety, compliance and smooth daily operations.

Key duties include coordinating administrative tasks, planning events, handling accounts payable, and supporting executive leadership. The role requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year in substance abuse treatment, a valid driver's license, and

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year experience in substance abuse treatment industry preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
Strong observational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage facility and property maintenance (fire drills, vehicle maintenance, tech support, inventory).
Complete maintenance checklists for safety and compliance.
Oversee custodial staff and external contractors.
Provide operational support (admin tasks, transport coordination, event planning, security, AP).
Collaborate with Executive Director and Administrator as needed.

Now hiring an operations manager for our new inpatient extended care rehab facility opening in Norfolk, VA!

What You'll Do

Manage complete maintenance of facility and property (fire drills, vehicle maintenance, tech support, inventory, storage etc.)
Complete periodic maintenance checklists to ensure functionality, safety and compliance
Oversee and direct custodial and housekeeping staff and all external contractors
Provide operational support whenever needed (i.e administrative errands, transportation coordination, event planning, security oversight, Accounts Payable etc.)
Collaborate with Executive Director and Administrator as necessary

What We’re Looking For

High School Diploma/ GED
Min. 1 year experience in substance abuse treatment industry (preferred)
Valid driver's license
Acute observational and communicational skills
Ability to collaborate and multitask
Strong responsibility and accountability
