  • Produce operational reporting and insights for senior management.
  • Support transfer of investment data across operations, accounting, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with technology and transformation teams on workflow design and platform readiness.
  • Develop scalable procedures, governance routines, and documentation for auditability.
  • Help build a high-performing operations function with clear roles and standards.

Job description

A highly regarded investment firm is looking to appoint an experienced operations leader to take ownership of a critical function within its broader investment platform.

The position offers a combination of operational leadership and strategic project work, with responsibility for strengthening processes, controls, systems, and external service-provider relationships. The individual will work closely with senior stakeholders to enhance the firm’s operational infrastructure and support its continued development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead core operational controls, including reconciliations, exception management, issue investigation, and resolution across key investment data.
  • Identify recurring operational issues and work with internal stakeholders and external partners to improve processes and reduce risk.
  • Oversee relationships with third-party service providers, including performance standards, issue escalation, and service quality.
  • Design and strengthen reconciliation processes, control standards, escalation procedures, and ownership frameworks.
  • Establish consistent operating procedures and accountability across internal teams and external providers.
  • Produce operational reporting and insights for senior management.
  • Support the effective transfer of investment data across operational, accounting, and reporting functions.
  • Partner with technology and transformation teams on workflow design, platform implementation, testing, and operational readiness.
  • Develop scalable procedures, governance routines, and documentation to support consistency, resiliency, and auditability.
  • Help build and develop a high-performing operations function, including defining responsibilities, capabilities, and team standards.
Qualifications
  • Significant experience within investment operations, asset management, banking, or a related financial-services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of reconciliations, investment data, operational controls, and third-party service-provider oversight.
  • Experience supporting a broad range of investment products and operational workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to design or improve operating models, processes, and control frameworks.
  • Experience partnering with technology teams on systems implementations or operational transformation initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
