Position Summary

Front Porch Alliance is seeking a highly organized, system-minded Operations Manager to ensure the organization runs smoothly day to day. This role is responsible for managing core operational systems, supporting staff and programs, and maintaining strong administrative, financial, and data practices.

The Operations Manager partners closely with the Executive Director to translate organizational priorities into effective operations and serves as a key point of accountability for internal systems, communications, and operational compliance support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily office and facilities operations, including managing the organization’s main phone line and general inbox; recruit, train, and supervise volunteers or interns to support communications coverage as needed.
  • Support program operations through logistics, purchasing, inventory coordination, and operational support for recurring initiatives and events.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date organizational databases and reporting systems to support programs, fundraising, and grant compliance.
  • Coordinate administrative financial processes, including procurement, documentation, and support for audits and reporting in partnership with the Executive Director and external professionals.
  • Administer core HR processes in partnership with the Executive Director, including onboarding, payroll coordination, benefits support, and personnel documentation.
  • Develop, document, and maintain clear systems and procedures that support a well-organized, efficient, and collaborative workplace.
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational, systems-thinking, and follow-through skills
  • Experience in nonprofit operations, administration, or a similar role preferred
  • Comfort managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and operational details
  • Experience working with databases, records, and reporting systems
  • Bookkeeping or financial operations experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; with a shifted schedule the first week of each month for a Saturday event; occasional evenings/weekends
  • Pay Range: $20.26–$23.08/hour, commensurate with experience
