Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) in California seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead and coordinate strategic activities on-site in Jolon. You will oversee policies, budgets, calendars, and staffing to ensure mission readiness and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have extensive facilities/maintenance leadership, strong knowledge of defense-related tools, and proven ability to manage cross-functional teams. Competitive benefits and a stable, mission-driven environment are offered.

Qualifications

  • 10 years’ experience in facilities operations, logistics or maintenance.
  • 6 of the 10 years must have been in a supervisory or management role, overseeing the performance of logistical operations and maintenance.
  • Have general knowledge of GCSS-A, LOGSA and FEDLOG.
  • Have general knowledge of LIW and the different applications associated with it.
  • Be proficient in Excel, Power Point, Word, and proper email etiquette.
  • Must have the ability to supervise and motivate subordinates to attain stated objectives.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Must be US Citizen to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check (NAC) to obtain a CAC.
