Job summary

Verto People seeks an Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a combined cycle power plant in Hobbs, New Mexico. You will oversee the operations team, maintain safety standards and drive reliable plant performance.

This senior role partners with site leadership, maintenance and technical teams to improve efficiency, reliability and operational standards across the facility. Relocation bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Requires experience leading operations in a combined cycle gas turbine or similar gas-fired power facility.

An Operations Manager is required to lead the safe, reliable and efficient day-to-day operation of a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) facility in Hobbs, New Mexico.

This is a key plant leadership role with responsibility for managing the operations team, maintaining strong operational standards and supporting overall plant performance.

The Operations Manager will work closely with the site leadership, maintenance and technical teams, driving operational excellence, plant reliability, safety and continuous improvement across the facility.

The Operations Manager Role:

• Lead the daily operations of a combined cycle power generation facility
• Provide leadership and direction to operations personnel, ensuring safe and reliable plant performance
• Work closely with the plant leadership team to improve efficiency, reliability and operational standards
• Monitor plant performance, identify improvement opportunities and support corrective actions
• Coordinate operational activities including maintenance support, outages and plant improvements
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, environmental requirements and operational standards
• Support employee development, coaching and performance management
• Build strong relationships across operations, maintenance and leadership teams

Operations Manager Requirements:

• Previous experience managing operations within a combined cycle, CCGT or similar gas-fired power generation facility
• Strong understanding of power plant operations, reliability and performance improvement
• Experience leading operations teams within a complex industrial environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with site leadership and technical teams
• Strong safety focus with experience driving operational excellence
• Previous experience with large-scale generation assets preferred
