Job summary
ContourGlobal is seeking an Operations Manager for its Hobbs, NM power plant. You will lead the on-site Operations team, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant plant operations while coordinating with Maintenance, EHS, and other functions.
Responsibilities include implementing the operating plan, monitoring performance, developing staff, and driving improvements in safety, reliability, efficiency, and operating costs.
Qualifications
- Technical undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience supervising Operations employees and assigning work.
- Ability to work in on-site, plant environment and travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Operations team to maintain safe, reliable, compliant plant operations.
- Monitor plant conditions to maintain thermal and electrical output efficiently.
- Respond to normal, abnormal, and emergency operating conditions per procedures.
- Maintain plant logs, reports, and records accurately.
- Develop and coach staff, including training and performance reviews.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Environmental, Health & Safety, and HR functions.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, productivity and costs.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
