Job summary

Eckart LLC is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily warehouse operations, optimize processes, and drive safety and efficiency. You will oversee receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control while coordinating with procurement, logistics, and customer service.

This role requires 5+ years in warehouse operations management, a bachelor's in logistics or similar, and a proven ability to lead diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a good understanding of Inventory management system and shipping logistics systems
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures and equipment?
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks?
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills?

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate daily warehouse functions, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce costs, including cycle counts and reconciliation.
  • Analyze workflows and implement continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for warehouse operations, forecasting requirements and scheduling expenditures to meet financial objectives.
  • Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and customer service, to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor performance metrics and prepare reports on warehouse operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet business needs
