Job summary

Insight Global in Frankfort, IN is seeking a qualified Landfill Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day landfill activities, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient operations for the site.

You will lead a team of operators, coordinate with maintenance and leadership, manage planning and environmental systems, and drive continuous improvement to meet regulatory and business objectives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in landfill and heavy equipment construction.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations, operational compliance, and equipment management.
• High school diploma or GED required.

• Will be under 1 Supervisor and will oversee 11 direct reports (heavy equipment operators, scale house operators, general laborers)

The Landfill Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day landfill activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role leads site personnel, manages landfill processes, and works closely with operational and environmental leadership to support business objectives, maintain regulatory compliance, and optimize landfill performance. The manager is accountable for operational planning, equipment utilization, environmental stewardship, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives that support long-term site success.
