The ideal candidate has 7+ years in financial services, with senior operational experience in regulated environments, and excels in leadership, analytics, and communication. This is an in-office role in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years in financial services with at least 5 in a senior operational role within an exchange, FCM, trading platform, or trading firm.
• Proven track record of managing complex operations in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Job description

Quanta Exchange is looking for a manager to act as a central part of the Quanta Exchange operations team, assisting in daily market operations, compliance with regulatory requirements, project management, and product development. A manager for Quanta should have excellent communication, analysis, technology and administrative skills. This is an in-office position in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Manage day-to-day operations of the exchange, including trading, settlement, and market data processes.
• Collaborate with COO in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with technology teams to ensure the reliability and security of trading platforms.
• Analyze market trends and operational metrics to inform decision-making.
• Manage operations team execution of daily market data and analysis reports.
• Collaborate with development team to implement data analytics and reporting efficiencies

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, including those set forth by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
• Work closely with the COO and Chief Regulatory Officer to maintain robust compliance programs and address regulatory inquiries.
• Stay abreast of regulatory developments and adjust operational strategies accordingly.
• Coordinate with CRO on any compliance investigations or regulatory requests
• Collaborate with COO to identify and mitigate operational risks through the development of comprehensive risk management frameworks.
• Execute on business continuity and disaster recovery plans as implemented by the President and COO.
• Monitor real-time market activities to detect and respond to unusual trading behaviors.

Team Management

• Help to build, lead and mentor operational team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to achieve organizational goals.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in a senior operational role within an exchange, FCM, trading platform, or trading firm.
• Proven track record of managing complex operations in a regulated environment.
