Job summary

JLL is seeking a qualified maintenance manager in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities of automated conveyor systems within airport operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and mentoring a team of technicians. A strong background in operations management is essential.

This position offers a competitive salary between $95,000 and $110,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health care and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Understanding of PLCs, motors, and control systems.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all maintenance activities for the baggage handling system, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize system downtime and maximize operational efficiency
• Supervise and mentor a team of conveyor technicians and mechanics
• Monitor system performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
• In conjunction of upper management, coordinate with airport operations, airlines, and other stakeholders regarding maintenance activities and system outages
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and operational requirements
• Respond to system emergencies and implement contingency plans when necessary
• Analyze maintenance data and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in airport operations or complex mechanical systems
• Demonstrated experience managing maintenance teams and contractors
• Strong understanding of automated conveyor systems, PLCs, motors, and control systems
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions during system failures
• Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with diverse stakeholders
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry standards
• Project management experience preferred

Additional Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Estimated Compensation

95,000.00 - 110,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
