Job summary

Kuhlman Corporation in Akron is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and manage all aspects of operations, sales, and safety for the Akron team. This role focuses on developing people, improving performance, and driving growth for the operation.

You will lead a talented team, influence strategic decisions, and shape the future of a growing market while developing future leaders within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field preferred.
• Five years or more of operations, warehouse, logistics, or management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Ability to use operational and financial data to drive decisions.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations with a focus on safety, service, and profitability.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and support a high-performing team.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
• Monitor service levels and remove barriers to performance.
• Develop plans for business growth and operational success.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and employee engagement.
• Establish and achieve financial and operational goals.
• Prepare reports, business updates, and operational reviews.
• Oversee payroll accuracy, timekeeping, and employee scheduling.
• Manage warehouse operations, inventory levels, and receiving activities.
• Partner with purchasing, drivers, and warehouse teams to support efficient operations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, ADA, and company safety standards.

What You Bring

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business software platforms
• Passion for building teams and developing people
