Summary

We are looking for future leaders to join us! We are actively seeking a hardworking, energetic, self-starter to join our Operations team in Lewiston, NC as a Management Trainee. The Perdue Management Trainee (MT) program is an entry-level management position designed to develop talented individuals into future leaders in the company's operations management field. In this position, you will learn and develop skills vital for a career in operations, production, continuous improvement, quality assurance, safety, shipping, and distribution. The MT program starts June 2025.

Program Details

Our 12-month program combines hands-on training through observation and shadowing, learning and development sessions, continuous improvement projects, and departmental rotations. The MT will actively participate in all aspects of business in an operational facility. Upon successful completion, the trainee may transition into a supervisor role.

Responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge of administrative functions, manpower reports, disciplinary procedures, budget, production processes, and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
• Develop understanding of team processes, establish common goals, define roles, encourage shared accountability, and foster effective communication and recognition.
• Implement quality improvement policies, monitor team performance, and present results.
• Rotate through various plant functions including Hatchery, Feed Mill, Live Production, and others.
• Complete projects related to cost reduction and performance improvement.
• Participate in learning activities including classes, e-learning, and web-based instruction.

Minimum Education Requirements

• Must possess a valid Bachelor's degree from an accredited university by June 2025.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degrees in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Animal Science, Poultry Science, or Agriculture.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to work for extended periods in various conditions, including cold temperatures and exposure to noise and chemicals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, and use protective equipment as required.
