Position Overview

The Operations Management Trainee will be placed in a local fill plant and must successfully complete a comprehensive training program. The program provides industry, customer, and organizational knowledge, along with plant-oriented and professional development training. Upon completion, the Trainee will be expected to meet and exceed divisional and regional objectives in logistics, resource management, human capital, and safety standards.

Training Modules & Responsibilities

1. Operate and maintain a generation plant for packaging gases into cylinders, ensuring compliance with regulations.
2. Schedule and lead safety meetings.
3. Coordinate testing and maintenance with production and distribution managers.
4. Manage cylinder warehousing, quality control records, and testing personnel training.
5. Develop preventative maintenance plans and tracking systems for cylinders.
6. Prepare budgets and ensure a safe, clean workplace.
7. Investigate and report injuries and accidents, enforce safety rules, and handle employee concerns.
8. Supervise cylinder re-testing and report equipment defects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; experience combined with college training considered.
• Proficient in Google Suite and capable of handling multiple tasks.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied temperatures and lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Physical ability for climbing, bending, and other activities.
