Avis Budget Group is seeking a motivated recent graduate for an Operations Management Trainee role in Norfolk, VA. The program provides hands-on training across Sales, Logistics and Customer Service, with a pathway to leadership in airport operations.

During an eight-week rotation, you’ll influence fleet availability, revenue and customer satisfaction, then step into supervision across daily ops or sales. On-site, with a structured mentorship track to future manager roles.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree plus at least two years of customer service experience.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to work collaboratively and make independent decisions.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to work days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.

Salary: $50,000/yr + Company Vehicle (Gas, Insurance, Maintenance Included) Are you motivated by customer satisfaction and interested in building a leadership career in a fast-paced operational environment? As an Operations Management Trainee, you will participate in a structured, hands-on training program designed to develop future leaders through real-world experience at our airport locations. During the program, you’ll gain exposure to key operational areas including Sales, Logistics, and Customer Service, while learning how to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and a consistently positive customer experience.

What You’ll Do:

During the eight-week training program, you will rotate through core operational functions to build a strong foundation in airport operations. You will learn how daily decisions impact fleet availability, revenue, customer satisfaction, and employee performance. After completing training, you will transition into a supervisory role overseeing one or more daily operations or sales functions. Responsibilities may include leading frontline teams, supporting fleet operations, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring service and safety standards are met. You will receive ongoing mentorship and development support, with opportunities to advance into Operations Manager and future leadership roles within our organization.

What We’re Looking For:

• Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree plus at least two years of customer service experience

• Valid Driver’s License


• Flexibility to work days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs


• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with moderate noise levels


• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely


• One year of experience providing high-quality customer service is a plus


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously sit, stand, bend, reach, walk, kneel, get up and get down from a seated position, enter, exit, climb into, climb down from, and drive a variety of automobiles in all weather conditions.
