Job summary

UNI Diamonds in New York is seeking a gemologist and operations associate to coordinate daily activities, manage orders, and oversee logistics while ensuring high-quality customer service. The role supports vendor relationships and data-driven inventory decisions.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in operations, strong communication, and a bachelor’s degree; GIA gemologist certification is a big plus. Competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in operations and administrative roles.
• Customer service experience is a must.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills; ability to interact with customers.
• Bachelor’s degree in any related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily operations including planning, order management, sales and after-sales support, vendor management and supply chain initiatives.
• Handle logistics tasks: import/export shipments, customer service, deliveries, payments, and admin duties.
• Examine diamonds to evaluate genuineness, quality, and value.
• Track shipments, receive goods, unpack/repack, and dispatch merchandise.
• Manage internal order process: data entry of documents, invoices for customers and suppliers.
• Onboard new customers and suppliers; collect documentation for system setup.
• Establish and maintain trust with customers, suppliers and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams worldwide.
