Nix Companies, Inc. is launching a 12-month Operations Management Trainee Program in Poseyville, Indiana, designed to prepare individuals to manage an entire location or business unit.

Trainees gain hands-on experience across shop floor operations, project management, and field services while working directly with company leadership. Participants will be mentored, enrolled in LEAD, and have exposure to multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Typically 3–8 years of professional experience in leading people, projects, or operations.
• Background in manufacturing, fabrication, coatings, industrial services, or business operations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ownership of results.
• Hands-on leadership approach and willingness to learn the business from the ground up.
• Proven work ethic, integrity, dependability, and ability to earn trust.
• Willingness to relocate for a future management assignment.
• College degree not required.

Responsabilités

• Shop Floor Operations: understand manufacturing processes, workflow, safety, and daily operations.
• Estimating & Project Management: quoted, planned, executed, and managed for profitability.
• Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and performance.
• Field Services: exposure to customer-facing industrial and fleet service operations.
• Sales & Business Development: participate in outside sales ride-alongs and learn how customer relationships contribute to growth.
• Business Management: understand financial performance, team leadership, accountability, and decision-making.
