Job summary

Sims Limited is seeking an Operations Management Trainee in Chicago. You will join a one-year paid program designed to prepare you to manage a front-line team across North American facilities. Leadership training, field exposure, and cross-functional shadowing with Operations, Commercial and Support functions are core elements.

Qualifications

• One-year paid trainee program preparing you to manage a front-line team within North American operations.
• Willingness to travel within the region (Northern California and Nevada) and potentially to other US locations.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for entry into the program.
• Full-time role on the Sims Operations team after completing the trainee program.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production team members (laborers and equipment operators).
• Apply and enforce union contracts, employee handbook, safety manuals, and rules.
• Provide orientation and on-the-job training for team members.
• Promote good housekeeping and adherence to quality specs.
• Coordinate with other departments and shifts as needed.
• Develop teamwork to meet department and overall company goals.
