Alter Trading offers a hands-on Management Trainee Program designed to fast-track individuals into running a department, facility, or sales function across a leading scrap metal recycler. Over 8-12 months, trainees rotate through operations, logistics, sales, safety, and leadership functions at multiple facilities, gaining real-world exposure to lead teams and drive results.

The program emphasizes relocation across Alter locations, with potential training sites in various cities and states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred; 5+ years' related experience considered.
• Strong communication and leadership potential required.
• Willingness to relocate to multiple locations and work hands-on in an industrial setting.

Responsabilités

• Learn metal recycling processes from scale to sale.
• Rotate through Operations, Commercial Sales, Inventory, Safety, and Maintenance.
• Support production, scheduling, and transportation activities.
• Shadow experienced yard managers and learn leadership.
• Develop customer relationships, negotiations, and pricing awareness.
• Prepare to lead a team or facility after program completion.
• Rotate across Alter locations for broader exposure.
