Job summary

Miller 66, Inc is seeking an Operations Manager to own day-to-day operations and build the infrastructure for scalable growth. This is a full-time, in-office role leading the Operations team and a driver network to deliver reliability and performance.

The candidate will think strategically, manage two operations coordinators and one fleet technician, and partner with the owner on growth, fleet planning, and continuous improvement in a demanding 24/7 trucking environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in transportation or logistics operations.
• Experience managing operations staff and professional OTR truck drivers.
• Experience with ELD systems and transportation management software.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Operations Team: manage and oversee a small operations staff and 20+ drivers, set responsibilities and drive accountability.
• Own the Daily Operation: maintain a high-level view of trucks, drivers, loads and issues; address problems with urgency.
• Build the Right Schedule and Coverage: optimize coverage, adjust schedules, and plan after-hours support as needed.
• Fleet Management: oversee maintenance, repairs, downtime tracking, and fleet growth decisions.
• Work Directly With the Owner on Growth: align on mission, strategy, fleet expansion, and scalable processes.
