Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Tucker, GA is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations at our recycling facility. You will supervise shift staff, coordinate maintenance, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all activities.

Key responsibilities include scheduling production, overseeing logistics, implementing lean processes, and driving continuous improvement while upholding Smurfit Westrock values of integrity, respect, and excellence.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred with a minimum of 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
• 2+ years of experience fostering a strong safety environment.
• Experience with OSHA training and Six Sigma/Lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of shift supervisor, maintenance and all plant employees.
• Oversee daily production schedule and logistics for shipping/receiving of raw materials.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and local codes and maintain safety culture.
• Facilitate daily meetings and seek input from co-workers; manage schedules, training and productivity.
• Create and oversee the daily production schedule; handle long hours and some weekend work as needed.
