Job summary

Smurfit Westrock seeks an Operations Manager for our Tampa Recycling facility. The role reports to the General Manager and focuses on safety, efficiency and compliance to customer specifications.

You will lead daily safety programs, manage maintenance and production schedules, oversee logistics for raw materials, and ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA and local codes while promoting our values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability and Excellence.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred; 3+ years supervisory manufacturing experience; 2+ years safety-focused leadership.
• Maintenance experience with strong mechanical aptitude; OSHA training; shipping/logistics experience.
• Experience with Six Sigma & Lean; operates forklifts, skid steer, front-end loader; outdoor work year-round.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety and production meetings.
• Oversee maintenance, quality systems, and logistics.
• Manage daily production schedule.
• Direct supervision of shift supervisor, maintenance, and plant staff.
• Ensure OSHA, EPA, and local code compliance.
• Maintain workspace organization and housekeeping.
