Job summary

Circle City Rebar LLC in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Head of Operations to run day-to-day production from estimate handoff through fabrication, delivery and field support. You will lead shop, yard and field crews to ship every job on time, with precise bending and target margins.

The role oversees scheduling, safety, equipment, and continuous improvement while coordinating with estimating and detailing to ensure on-time releases and accurate bar lists. On-site, full-time position with room to grow.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in rebar fabrication, steel fabrication, or equivalent operation; leadership experience on a shop or crew
• Ability to read placing drawings and bar lists and enforce tolerances
• Experience with production scheduling and meeting tonnage and delivery targets
• Safety-focused leader with OSHA alignment and practical risk control
• Familiarity with Excel and job tracking tools
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• CDL a plus and valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Own the shop schedule: sequence cutting and bending by job priority and truck loads
• Hit daily/weekly tonnage targets while minimizing rework and misfabrication
• Enforce CRSI/ACI bending tolerances before material leaves the shop
• Coordinate with estimating and detailing to release drawings and bar lists on time
• Plan daily deliveries and truck loading to meet contractor pour schedules
• Manage drivers, yard layout and equipment to ensure on-time loads
• Maintain accurate inventory and work with purchasing to balance price and lead time
• Lead safety program: OSHA compliance, PPE, incident reporting and toolbox talks
• Source equipment upgrades with cost/payback analysis and keep facilities compliant
• Be operations point of contact for contractors on schedule changes and field issues
• Report weekly on tonnage, labor hours, on-time delivery, rework, safety and inventory
• Standardize shop processes and implement simple tracking tools as the company grows
