Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks a Manager of Operations to oversee Non Nuclear and Nuclear Pipe Shop and Pipe Packaging at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI. This second-shift role requires leading trade resources, safety programs, and continuous improvement efforts to meet program goals.

The candidate will manage budgets, overhead, and EAC, while collaborating with HR and the customer to resolve issues and ensure OSHA/EEO compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years supervisory/management experience in Operations.
• Minimum of 8 years manufacturing or related experience.
• Available to work all shifts including extended hours and weekends.
• Able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical/trade direction for Non Nuclear and Nuclear Pipe Shop operations at Quonset Point.
• Lead manpower planning, hiring, and resource placement to meet program needs.
• Promote safety, quality, cost control, and schedule adherence.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Interact with management, customers, HR and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
