Job summary

Aquatech in Albany, Oregon seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations, engineering execution, and quality systems for a membrane filtration cartridge business.

This hands-on leadership role requires a strong engineering foundation, disciplined project management, and the ability to build high-performing teams to drive operational excellence and ISO accreditation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering, or project management.
• Experience with membrane filtration cartridge manufacturing or similar precision manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of process engineering, manufacturing optimization, quality systems, cost improvement, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and production teams.
• Build a culture of safety, quality, accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the senior on-site leader when executives travel, ensuring sound decisions for employees, customers, and business priorities.
• Coach supervisors and team leaders, strengthen cross-functional communication, and align teams around measurable operating goals.
• Lead ISO certification initiatives with documentation, training, audits, corrective actions, and sustained compliance.
