Job summary

Aquatech is seeking a Senior Pilot Operator to lead deployment, assembly, operation, and maintenance of advanced water filtration pilot systems in the field. You will report to the Albany office when not deployed, supporting equipment preparation, system staging, and planning.

You will supervise field operator teams, provide technical training to customer staff, and ensure safe, compliant operation across worldwide sites. 75% travel expected.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of direct experience in water or wastewater treatment, industrial fluid‑handling equipment, or mobile pilot operations.
• Associate degree or trade certification in a relevant technical discipline is preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 75% of the time.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not required.
• Experience leading field personnel during 24/7 commissioning and start‑up operations.

Responsibilities

• System Assembly, Transport & Rigging: deliver and position mobile pilot trailers/skids; operate heavy equipment safely; assemble and mount pilot equipment.
• Operations, Maintenance & Troubleshooting: operate and optimize pilot systems; perform field repairs on motors, pumps, generators, and controls.
• Site Leadership & Customer Training: manage 24/7 shift schedules; provide on‑site training to customer staff; report status to engineering teams.
• Safety & Compliance: enforce OSHA standards, conduct JSAs, and lead safety briefings.
• Other duties as assigned.
