Job summary

SRC Automotive in Springfield, MO is seeking a Director of Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership across two manufacturing facilities. You will oversee ~150 associates and a team of managers, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvement.

The role emphasizes developing leaders, building robust processes, and aligning capacity with demand to sustain long-term growth and employee ownership across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in operations management or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience leading through managers and supervisors.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, planning, and capacity management.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S.
• Proven track record in safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvement.
• Strong financial and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for production operations across two facilities.
• Develop Facility Manager and Production Manager and build accountability.
• Set operational strategies for safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, labor, capacity, workflow.
• Use data to identify trends and translate into action plans.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, Finance to resolve issues.
• Develop and manage production budgets, forecasts, staffing plans.
• Ensure capacity and workforce align with demand.
• Build culture of accountability and employee ownership.
• Coach and develop managers and strengthen leadership bench.
• Ensure consistent operating practices across facilities.
