Job summary

SRC Automotive, Inc. is seeking a Director of Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership over two manufacturing facilities in Springfield, MO. The role oversees ~150 associates and reports through Production and Facility Managers.

The ideal candidate will drive safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while building sustainable systems and a culture of accountability and employee ownership. This is a full-time on-site leadership position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in operations management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading through managers and supervisors, not micromanaging.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, or similar continuous improvement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for production operations across two manufacturing facilities.
• Lead and develop the Facility Manager and Production Manager, building capability and accountability.
• Establish and execute operational strategies for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, labor performance, capacity utilization, workflow, and efficiency.
• Use data to identify trends, constraints, and opportunities and translate into action plans.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, Finance to resolve operational challenges.
