Job summary

Coleman Worldwide Moving seeks a General Manager to oversee office operations in Huntsville, AL, driving profitability and ensuring compliance with company and government regulations. You will direct drivers, packers, and helpers, train staff, and foster a positive work environment for employees.

Responsibilities include reviewing finances, assigning tasks, advertising for leads, approving invoices, and making personnel decisions while coordinating with regional leadership.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of residential, commercial, and military move process.
• Ability to problem solve effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to take charge frequently.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Experience in logistics and transportation management.

Responsibilities

• Review financial statements to identify improvement opportunities.
• Meet with associates regularly to communicate expectations and scheduling.
• Assign work to staff to maintain profitability and efficiency; follow up on tasks.
• Intervene in all facets of the office when needed.
• Identify ways to advertise and generate move leads.
• Authorize and transmit invoices to corporate office.
• Make personnel decisions including hiring, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Report significant issues to the Regional Vice President for action.
• Resolve employee conflicts effectively.
• Communicate client issues with move management/operations; escalate when needed.
• OTR recruiting and driver liaison responsibilities.
• Source equipment repair services as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
