Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a facility with Lean Six Sigma-led improvements, digital tool adoption, and a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery. You will manage a large team, coordinate outbound logistics, and drive continuous performance improvements across multiple functions.

Responsibilities include developing labor standards, overseeing staffing for current and future demand, and maintaining strong customer relations to meet requirements and boost NPS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of progressive warehouse operations management experience with hands-on WMS and inventory control.
• Experience leading both salaried and hourly employees, including mentoring and performance management.
• Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured continuous improvement methods.
• Ability to establish work standards, KPIs, and use data to drive accountability and improvement.
• Strong customer focus and ability to translate requirements into operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage 50–100 exempt and non-exempt employees, supervisors, and admin staff.
• Lead order fulfillment and shipments while achieving KPIs for safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and accuracy.
• Plan and coordinate outbound operations: picking, packing, shipping, auditing, and quality support.
• Develop labor standards, staffing plans, and capacity for daily execution and growth.
• Establish KPIs and work standards; use data to drive gaps and improvements.
• Build relationships with customers to understand requirements and improve satisfaction and NPS.
• Lead root cause analysis for failures and implement corrective actions.
• Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving to eliminate waste.
• Identify and implement tech, automation, and digital tools for visibility and scalability.
• Develop employees via onboarding, coaching, and leadership development.
