Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. seeks an Assoc Director – Operations to oversee production and distribution activities across New England markets. You will drive safety compliance, and lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives while coordinating with Sales and other departments to meet company objectives.

You will build operational plans, mentor staff, and ensure staffing excellence at the Plant Manager level, with significant travel across the region.

Qualifications

BS degree required (Engineering preferred).
10+ years cylinder gas operations experience.
5+ years cylinder gas engineering / project management.
Lean and Six Sigma certification.
Willing to travel 50–60% in Midwest/East region.

Responsibilities

Oversee all production and distribution activities for plants and internal shuttle distribution for the region.
Ensure safety and compliance with internal standards, FDA, and state/federal regulations.
Manage Safety, Productivity, Lean & Six Sigma Initiatives.
Achieve productivity goals through Six Sigma, Lean and Kaizen methodologies.
Create and manage operational plans to meet Linde objectives.
Coordinate activities with Sales and other departments; communicate plans effectively.
Set goals, enable decision-making, delegate, and remove obstacles.
Coordinate operations and project work with logistics, engineering, HR, and finance.
Lead productivity optimization efforts and monitor trends.
Hire, train, coach, and conduct performance reviews at Plant Manager level.
Ensure compliance with all internal and external standards.
