Gardens Alive Inc. seeks an Operations Manager to oversee inventory, yard operations, and facilities at the garden center. This role ensures efficient product flow, safe and well-kept grounds, and reliable logistics that support the team and customer experience.

The role drives efficiency, compliance, and staff development while working alongside staff to model excellence and ensure daily operations run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience leading store operations and teams.
• Strong focus on inventory accuracy and logistics.
• Ability to manage budgets and scheduling.
• Proven collaborator with store manager and HR.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to set department goals that support sales, profitability, and service standards.
• Lead daily operations for inventory, receiving, facilities, and yard logistics.
• Oversee payroll, scheduling, and hiring processes to align with budget goals and department coverage needs.
• Foster a collaborative, service-oriented team culture through coaching and feedback.
• Address and resolve employee and customer concerns with SM, HR, and Retail Home Office as needed.
• Uphold appearance standards, including uniform compliance and professional presentation.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD), including opening/closing responsibilities and directing priorities.
• Oversee inventory flow from receiving to sales floor, storage, pickup, and delivery.
• Lead inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, and annual inventories.
• Collaborate with Wholesale Manager to process and hold green goods for orders.
