Job summary

Samico Manufacturing, LLC, a heavy fabrication, welding, and equipment rebuild operation serving the mining industry, seeks a General Manager to lead site operations and drive safety, quality, delivery, and growth.

The General Manager will balance customer commitments, workforce leadership, and continuous improvement across safety, production, engineering, and asset management, ensuring operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, heavy industrial operations, or a related field.
• Proven track record of safety, quality, delivery performance, and financial accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety, regulatory compliance, risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training.
• Oversee production scheduling, execution of builds/repairs, and service projects to meet customer commitments.
• Maintain quality standards, control drawings and documentation, and support QA programs.
• Manage facility financial performance: budgets, costing, profitability, and forecasting.
• Recruit, develop, and retain skilled trades, supervisors, and administrative staff; drive engagement and succession planning.
