Job summary

Eurofins Drinking Water and Wastewater Northeast is seeking a Director of Operations to lead laboratory and field operations, sample logistics, and client reporting across the Northeast region.

The role manages a distributed team of laboratory staff, field technicians, and operations coordinators, driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: BS/BA in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years in management, 2+ years in leadership of lab, field operations, or logistics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day lab operations and field service activities; ensure coordination between sample collection, chain of custody, and analytical workflows.
• Manage field logistics including routing, courier scheduling, cold chain integrity, and turnaround time across the Northeast.
• Coordinate with field teams to ensure proper sample collection protocols and preservation per specs.
• Serve as operational escalation point for field-related issues and client site access.
• Partner with Technical Operations to align equipment capacity with demand.
