Qualifications

• Proven leadership, delegation, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of principles, policy and practices related to the assigned department.
• Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities and make sound decisions within policy.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to identify problems and trends and develop business solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with ability to influence others at all levels.
• Demonstrated department technology skills with strong PC skills.
• Must be available to work flexible hours determined by the department's needs.

Responsibilities

• Leads, develops, coaches, and motivates an assigned team.
• Ensures adherence to Human Resources/Company policies and principals.
• Ensures performance and strategic plans are executed properly.
• Develops and maintains an operating budget and takes corrective action as needed.
• Directs efforts to identify sources of issues and resolutions.
• Evaluates staffing ratios and issues affecting attrition/retention.
• Delegates tasks to enhance unit performance.
• Analyzes operational performance.
• Leads the performance management process and supports employees' development.
• Acts as a back-up to Senior Management.
